This Weekend at the Duck

Friday

7:30 pm – Fun Bingo in the Rec Building. All ages welcome

Saturday

10:00 Campground Poker Derby. Register in the Rec Building then go to the 3 locations to pick up your cards.  Top 3 Poker hands win a prize. (kids under 12 need an adult with them.) All hands must be in by noon.

2-3 pm – Ice Cream Social. Build your own sundae in the Rec. sm 1.70 lrg 2.70

Dusk – Movie Night in the Outdoor Theater. Check the board in the Rec Building for this week’s Movie. Popcorn available at the Concession

9-10pm – Adult swim in the Regular pool and Hot tub area. Splash pool remains open for families.

10:30 – Father’s Day Truck Scavenger Hunt. Pick up your list of items at the Office. Work in teams or individuals.

2-3 pm – Ice Cream Social. Build your own sundae in the Rec. sm 1.70 lrg 2.70

9pm – Movie Night in the Outdoor Theater – The Lorax. Popcorn available at the Concession

Sunday

9am-noon – Free Coffee for all camping dads at the Grill & Concession

Things that go bump at the Duck

Despite the rain and cooler weather on the long weekend the Bumper Boats had quite a few riders. Some apparently didn’t want to get wet, but were quite willing to squirt everyone else.

IMG_1505bumper boatsAs they say when you are a kid, you don’t seem to feel the cold. Some of the kids would come off the boats completely dripping. (Especially a couple boys that lost the boys against girls contest, Go Girls haha)

The weather didn’t stop the kids from enjoying the pool either.

May long 2This pool is a decent 80F so it was quite enjoyable to swim in.

May long 1This pool won’t be heated for a couple weeks, so it is only about 65F. This was the “I dare you” pool. But as you can see some of the made it in.  A brave few even made it down the Ducky slide.

Can’t wait for green grass

I finally had a nice sunny morning so I could take some updated pictures of the man made lakes. They have filled quite nicely as you can see. Although it is still nice right now I can’t wait for the grass to get green and the leaves to come out. Things have certainly changed since this time last year.

I also discovered on my walk this morning that we have two pairs of geese camping out. There were two out in the new area and then I came across these guys that seem to like ice skating.
