The ducks and fish that is. If you have never seen ducks and fish fight over fish food it is definately a sight to see. It is like mass pandemonium to see who can get to the food first. Especially when you kind of egg on the ducks by first throwing the food to one side and then throwing it to the other to watch how fast they can motorboat over. The whole crew of ducks ventured out to the big pond tonight. It is the first time that I have seen the newest babies heading across the way.

The fishing has been going pretty good lately from the reports that I have heard. They have certainly been active in the last few days. All day you can look out and see them jumping away and they can get some good airtime sometimes.

We had some thundershowers pass through yesterday, but overall it really didn’t affect anyone’s camping time. I heard that parts of Winnipeg got a big dump of rain last evening, but once again we got not much of anything. We seem to be in a good ‘zone’ this year with us missing a lot of storms that Winnipeg has gotten. They keep changing the forecast for this weekend as usual. Luckily today changed for the better and they are not calling for showers anymore. A little bit of cloud and cooler temps are in store however Saturday and Sunday are 25C and 26C so hopefully we fill a few more sites today. I did get some more bookings yesterday for this weekend, but was surprised that noone took me up on the special offer in the email newsletter – The first two people that booked for this weekend and told me about the offer would get 4 free slushees or Iced Caps. I was able to get the new updated campground map on the website this week. It shows the new pool area campsites and also the new seasonal campsites in Feather Bay. I didn’t try to draw the ‘bay’ part right now since it is not the easiest thing to do. This winter I plan to do a total revamp on the map and then I will practice doing my curves so that it looks proper. When I tried this time it just didn’t work very well.

Another busy weekend with 2 for 1 waffles, ice cream social, bingo and movie night.  I started my next newsletter for the August events and am hoping for it to be in the inboxes on Sunday evening or Monday morning.
